You'll see it in the newspapers tomorrow. I don't care for political comments in my blogs. Yes, keeping away from arguments.

Omg, I was just in the store today, and I found Synecodche, New York in the $3.99 bin. The very same day my order of the same DVD was delivered. Only, it was $22.

Lol, I already heard about it. I was going to watch the trailer, but my computer was too slow. Sounds pretty frickin' amazing. A one man adaptation of Rambo done for around $200? Crazy. I'm at the library now, so I'll probably be able to watch the clip.

Well, Avatar is a masterpiece when compared to The Room. But then again, The Room is more enjoyable and much less tedious.

Yeah, well I enjoy some of Howard's films as well as some of the other mainstream directors you seem to be alluding to, but they are far too overrated to be practically be winning a best picture nomination at the oscars every year. Their film are very good and very well made, but far too traditional to be considered with the best of contemporary cinema.

Well it wasn't that it was not worth it, it was just a bit ridicuously priced. I got Synecdoche, New York, I have already seen it online and decided to get it since I knew of no other way to spend twenty-two dollars. Well, maybe it's not too overpriced (especially when compared to the Criterion Collectoin), but when compared to the three other movies I got (Gates of Heaven, The Saddest Music in the World and Paths of Glory) which were all for around five bucks, one does find a reason to complain.

Merde! Those Kino videos look so great! Epstein, Duchamp, Welles, Eisenstein? The mind boggles. Too bad I just spent my last couple of extra dollars on an overpriced movie

    Do you own that collection?

You know, I was just thinking, that it's ridiculous how so many Hollywood films seem unable to travel into exotic societies without a white or Western/American protaganist to "sympathize" with.

Is your wife dragging you to see it? Good luck. Idk what was up with my experience, but I was half-dead. The two friends that came with me fell asleep at least once during the course of the film, and they are the most mainstream audience you will ever find, for they love films like Eagle Eye or Transformers, but they HATED this one even more than me.

Well, I loved Dances with Wolves, but after that, the idea was worn out to an unbearable extent. There is one insulting moment in Avatar when (I suppose you don't care if I slightly spoil the plot) the main character tries to once again win the natives respect by riding one of the most dangerous flying creatures by jumping on it from above, and the natives see him as some kind of demi-god, because of course a civilized person such as himself would have the wit make these primitives think he's a demi-god
