    Can she or can she not be??

    Hey all i have a question for you.
    Can Emily Dickinson be considered a Dark Romantic poet? her writings can follow the pattern of many dark authors, but is she one?

    Here's a quick reply. I'm not an expert on Dickinson, but I have read a bit of her poetry lately. I think there are poems which can be consdered dark Romantic, and there are poems which go beyond Romanticism altogether. It would take me too long to provide examples.

    Well, Emily didn't only write romantic poems so you cant call her just a romantic poet but when she did write romantic poetry yes, she definitely wrote dark poems. That's why she's so different from others, so special. When there is pain in writing it becomes sweeter!!! Hope this helps.
