Since we have plenty of new people, perhaps a new round of:

2.) Silence Reigns In The Western Façade
    3.) Stradivarius Atop the Shingles
    4.) Orifice
    5.) Vermillion Emblem of Audacity

Right on them all, IP. Riders of the Purple Sage is a classic western by Zane Grey.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. ~ Mark Twain

    1. Blood Red Horse?
    7. 'To Kill a Mockingbird' is the only book I can think of with a songbird in it.

Am baffled as to what 'Orifice' might refer to.

Could it be 'Holes'by Louis Sachar?
O schaurig ists übers Moor zu gehn,
    wenn es wimmelt vom Heiderauche,
sich wie Phantome die Dünste drehn
und die Ranke häkelt am Strauche.

I was wondering the same thing, but then there's that singular/plural question...

    Qué importa perderme

    Para qué vivir

I feel so stupid now! Now when I see Silence Reigns In The Western Façade, it is so obvious that it is All Quiet on the Western Front. I was thinking To Kill a Mockingbird also, but I wasn't positive (I wasn't sure if there was some book floating around out there that I didn't know existed with a songbird in the title). So, I also agree with that one.
