Okay, so on George Orwell's page, I don't see "Shooting an Elephant" although I know it was on there a while ago when I first came to this site.
Is there any reason I am not seeing it?

What do you mean the "public domain?"
And it used to be up there, what's the reason for taking it down...
That means it's still copyrighted and can't be reprinted.
