you live 1140 metres above the sea level? quite high, uh?

isnt Villa Diodati the place where the Shelley couple was with Byron when Mary Shelley started Frankenstein? Or am I really confused? If it is, let's all go there!!!

Sub's Jakarta would be nice, any 'library-anywhere-in-the world' would be nice, Czech Republic would be nice, Tibet would be nice, Antartica would be nice, and considering the intellectual stability of some of the participants perhaps we should go camping, stay away from major population centres...............or is it just me I should worry about?..............

Ditto to MOno's literary-themed meeting point.........

I am sure the Queen would be only delighted to open her humble abode to us!

OH, where's the Queen, there's lotsa horses! If I'm allowed to take a horse over to Basil's abbey... I'd be torn between the two of the places...

Scher, can I take a horse over at your place?
    I have a plan: attack!

No camping please...I don't like insects, I don't like tents much and despite not being social I need something vaguely resemblant to a city...more than 48 hours in a place where nature rules, no houses, no pollution, no streets causes troubles to MY stability.

Hey! The compromise: any Northern Italian city on the week of the 15th August: city-like, but EMPTY. Only troubles: hellish temperatures, tropical humidity, and thousands of (burnt and halfnaked) German and Japanese (unburnable and unnakedable...invulnerable) tourists ...

Yes..yes...I'll be very honoured...And believe me, I'll make a very warm and informative guide ...If the price is right, of course ..{J/K]

Uh....yeah.....provisio....: Not MY house. It would be waaayyyy too much fun, and I'm not sure this younger crowd could handle that!
What.? What are we going to have there...?? What do you mean younger? 16?? Oh our 16 yo members are stronger than you think..

Speaking of Italy, I currently reading a book by Paul Theroux (sp), Stranger at the Plaza D'Oro...or something (I kinda forgot). It describe the place in Italy, some where quite near to Sicily I suppose, where D.H Lawrence once spent his days when he got sick...From the description, the place seems very beautiful...

    TOO CROWDED! Good point

btw, don't think I didn't see your piggyback comment ... actually it would be worth 'conveniently forgetting' to get a horse somewhere just because of that
