    "There for each other"

    There for Each Other

The clouds drift in the spring sky
These days go on and by
To join the others in the past
But these spring days remind me, too
That the past is always new
The good and bad of other springs
Imbue this spring, too just as in
    The other Springs I've had
Times change yesterday day seems faraway
    Some other day but while
Bad times go by they sometimes
Do haunt the years they never knew
That's why I need you always by my side
A perpetual spring above the season
A spring in winter and autumn too
Our love flourishes and is forever new
We are the sun in each other's sky
We are each others immunity to the
Cold of winter that sometimes steals
Across our lives' fields each other's
Love we wrap around us to protect and surround us

This is a wonderful and graceful tribute to your love and a beautiful use throughout it of the metaphor of the seasons. Thank you.

Very sweet. Someone somewhere must be very happy for this one.

Sorry, but I was not as excited by this poem. I was thrown by how many times spring was repeated. I felt swallowed up by it.

Thanks everyone!! I agree about the use of the word spring all the time, thanks for pointing that out- maybe say " the clouds drift in the april sky"? I will post a redone version with the months instead of the generic " spring".

Okay, this is a version with less "spring" in it

    There for each other

The clouds drift in the spring sky
These days go on and by
To join the others in the past
But these May days remind me, too
That the past is always new and
That the good and bad of other springs
Imbue this May, too just as in
    The other springs I've had
    Times change yesterday seems faraway
    Some other day but while
Bad times go by they sometimes
Do haunt the years they never knew
That's why I need you always by my side
A perpetual May above the season
A spring in winter and autumn too
Our love flourishes and is forever new
We are the sun in each other's sky
We are each other's immunity to the
Cold of winter that sometimes steals
Across our lives' fields each other's
Love we wrap around us to protect and surround us-
