I saw the end of USA/Belgium game and it was great. USA played really well, but it was not their day.

It is quite difficult to predict. France have been playing positive attacking football (and have a strong midfield) while Germany have players like Muller, Ozil and Klose. Anything can happen in this quarterfinal! My heart says France and mind says Germany.

Yea, my son was rooting for the U.S. I wish them all luck.

My son says the number one basic rule in football is don't bet against the Germans. I'm like Snowqueen though, I'd like France to go through, but can't help admiring the Germans.

Then there's Columbia v Brazil. I quite fancy Columbia for that one.

So If it was real money, I'd cash in now. However I set out to bet on every match...

    300 on Columbia
300 on Germany. With no confidence at all.

Oh this contest was always fun and I can see everyone is having a ball. Too bad I missed it. For what it's worth, with it down to the Final Eight, from here I predict Columbia to win it, Columbia beats Netherlands in the final. From here out the games are all going to be exciting.

They played well. We keep improving every four years. Maybe next one. Where is the next one being held?

Hmm, should be interesting. Of course by then Putin might claim all of Eastern Europe again. Thanks.

I've been too cautious with the amounts I bet.

I'll go 50 on France and 100 on Brazil.

Missed the footie when it wasn't on. I had to watch normal telly.

    500 on Germany.

If they are out, I don't want to be in this game!

    200 on Brazil.

I am so thrilled that Germany is through... I admire their play, discipline and determination. All those qualities I bitterly lack!
